Physical therapy is for anyone experiencing pain or limitation that interferes with an active life—whether in sports, movement practices, work, or everyday activities like commuting, childcare, or travel. It supports busy individuals of all backgrounds, including performers, athletes, and those with connective tissue disorders, in moving with greater ease, confidence, and resilience.

Initial Evaluation

Physical therapy evaluations are available in-person in New York City or virtually via HIPAA-secure, real-time video through SimplePractice.

Your first visit is a 60-minute comprehensive evaluation designed to understand the full picture of what may be contributing to your pain, injury, or limitation. During this session, we may review your medical and injury history and assess posture, gait, balance, and functional movement, along with range of motion, strength, motor control, joint and soft tissue mobility, and any necessary neurological screening. We’ll also discuss your personal goals and the activities that matter most to you. From there, we’ll review key findings together and co-create a personalized plan of care aligned with your goals.

Follow-Up Treatment Sessions

Follow-up visits are 50-minute, one-on-one sessions tailored to your individual needs and progress, with care evolving as you do.

Treatment may include a customized combination of manual therapy (such as osteopathic joint mobilization, myofascial release, and trigger point work), neuromuscular re-education to improve motor control, and therapeutic exercise focused on mobility, strength, stabilization, and movement retraining. Taping techniques, including Kinesio®, McConnell, and Elastikon®, may also be used to support recovery and function.
